Investor Overview
The Tranche D public offer was launched on 21 December 2021 to raise additional capital, following the successes of the previous years’ capital raise processes. This 4th capital raise had a capped limit of R50m, which was raised within an extremely short period by the time of its conclusion in February 2021. The range of efficient energy solutions now included hot water and battery storage solutions for community schemes and commercial and industrial clients. The investment into Bright Light Solar Coastal1 further expanded the footprint for long-term renewable energy projects to coastal regions across South Africa and adjacent inland lying regions. By now Bright Light Solar has already signed and installed over 140 solar and efficient energy projects across the country, and was in the process of negotiating and closing several significant transactions with property developers, solar installers and clients that required the deployment of additional capital.
